Dry needling therapy - step by step

Dry Needling Therapy

step by step

Dry needling therapy is a modern technique for helping reduce muscle pain and releasing trigger points. By inserting very fine needles into specific muscle areas, a local therapeutic response is induced that relaxes the tissues, improves blood supply and supports recovery.

Functional assessment
Stage 1

(10 min.)

Functional Assessment

We start with a precise assessment of posture, range of motion and muscle imbalances to target the correct structures and maximize the effect of therapy.

  • Individual assessment
  • Identifying imbalances
  • A clear recovery strategy
Dry needling application
Stage 2

(20–30 min.)

Dry needling application

Dry needling uses thin, sterile single-use needles that are inserted into tight muscle bands and trigger points. The needle produces a brief "local twitch response" that can help the muscle relax, can reduce sensitivity in the area and helps normalize muscle tone.

  • Sterile disposable needles
  • Pain relief
  • Improvement of local circulation

How it works

The mechanism is twofold – local and neurophysiological. Locally, microcirculation is improved and spasm in the affected segment is reduced. Neurophysiologically, the pain signal is modulated and the muscle activation during movement can improve.

Frequently asked questions

Who is this procedure suitable for?
  • Acute and chronic pain in the back, neck, shoulders, knees and other joints
  • Recovery after sports injuries and operations
  • Muscle imbalances and postural disorders (poor posture)
  • Numbness, paresis and other neurological symptoms
  • Headache from tension in neck and shoulders
  • Decreased joint mobility and stiffness
  • Injury prevention and fitness improvement
How often should I come for therapy?

We usually start with 1-2 sessions per week, then taper off as progress is made. We plan individually.

Do I need to prepare?

Wear comfortable clothing that allows free movement. Share previous injuries, surgeries or conditions.
